An Installation in an old bank vault in Gallerie Format, Bergen in 2012

This installation was based on an old postcard which I found on ebay.

The postcard had a picture of a little girl sitting on the front of it and the handwritten inscription on the back, ‘Poor little girl, so sorry that you were disappointed. I didnt think about you when I sent Laurie’s card. Love from Auntie’.

I decided to make, in in glass, the clothing the girl is wearing on the postcard, creating something tangible from the otherwise fleeting sentiment.
